The Metamorphosis
Join us for a celebration honoring the seasonal shifts of our inner and outer world. The Winter Solstice marks the beginning of Winter as well as the longest night of the year. (14 hours and 45 minutes of night in Utah!) It is a time when nature undergoes a process of restoration and renewal to prepare for the fertile Spring months to come. As Beings of nature and our environment, humans also experience  seasonal shifts where we are guided within, to slow down, become quiet so that we may restore and revitalize our inner systems. In this exploration we will journey within to embrace the darkness of winter as well as offer nourishment and restoration to the inner landscape with a nurturing Vin/Yin practice, a heart opening  cacao ceremony, and introspection.
We have been blessed to share the heart opening medicine of cacao of San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala. The profits from the cacao support the local Mayan families who produce this ancestral medicine. Please let us know if you have any dietary eating restrictions.

Meet your  facilitators:
Ashley Haskell, @infinite_heart_wellness is a practitioner and student of yoga for 18 years! Her deep love for yoga, nature, and travel inspired her to study yoga in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle for her 200 YTT under Akhanda Shakti Yoga, and her 300 YTT Â in Rishikesh, India under Yogrishi Vishvektu, Himalayan master and founder of Akhanda Yoga. She has continued her education in Indigenous Rights, Social Advocacy, Womb Sciences, Neuro-scultping, Trauma Informed Practices, Sacred Ceremony, and Intuitive Yin Yoga. It was in her trainings and self study that she realized one of the greatest disconnects of humanity to be a submission of personal power to external forces which often lead to loss of identity, manipulation, victimization and social control. She vowed to walk the path of reclamation of personal power through: understanding the nervous system and the effect that our thoughts have on our physiology; movement as a path to health and well-being; Â herbalism and connecting to sacred plant medicine; honoring the cycles of nature both within herself and the world around her; subtle body awareness to unravel the many dimensions of Being; farming and how to live harmoniously from the land; and, various forms of psychosomatic therapies to release trauma from the body and reprogram thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. It is her passion to provide individuals the freedom to express their most enlivened, abundant, and empowered Truth with the world.
Summerhaze, @summerhaze108yoga is a student and certified instructor of Yoga, a lover of nature, music enthusiast, astrology addict  and self healer. Following the onset of stress induced illness, she had the opportunity to take yoga classes throughout high school and immediately fell in love with not only the practice but also the philosophy of yoga. She received her degree in health promotion and was enthralled with the ways the mind, body and soul can heal itself naturally. It is her belief that yoga "hugs" you were you are at regardless of the level of your practice.
